In Essential Beliefs - we have unity

There is one Body and one Spirit...there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all...

( Ephesians 4:4-6 NIV)

In Non-Essential Beliefs - we have liberty

Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters...Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls...So then each of us will give an account of himself to God...So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God.

( Romans 14:1 , 4 , 12 , 22 NIV)

In All our Beliefs - we show charity

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

( 1 Corinthians 13:2 NIV)

THE ESSENTIALS WE BELIEVE:

About God:

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and are one God.

( Genesis 1:1,26,27 , Genesis 3:22 ; Psalm 90:2 ; Matthew 28:19 ; 1 Peter 1:2 ; 2 Corinthians 13:14 )

About Jesus Christ:

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again someday to earth to reign as King.

( Matthew 1:22,23 ; Isaiah 9:6 ; John 1:1-5 , John 14:10-30 ; Hebrews 4:14-15 ;1 Corinthians 15:3-4 ; Romans 1:3-4 ; Acts 1:9-11 ; 1 Timothy 6:14-15 ; Titus 2:13 )

About the Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are saved. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily.

( Acts 1:8 ; 2 Corinthians 3:17 ; John 16:7-13 , John 14:16-17 ; Galatians 5:25 ; 1 Corinthians 2:12 , 3:16 ; Ephesians 1:13 , Ephesians 5:18 )

About the Bible:

The Bible is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without error.

( 2 Timothy 3:16 , 2 Timothy 1:13 ; 2 Peter 1:20-21 ; Psalm119:105 , Psalm 60 , Psalm 12:6 ; Proverbs 30:5 )

About Human Beings:

People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin". Sin separates us from God and causes many problems in our life.

( Genesis 1:27 ; Psalm 8:3-6 ; Isaiah 53:6a ; Romans 3:23 ; Isaiah 59:1-2 )

About Salvation:

Salvation is God's free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

( Romans 6:23 ; Ephesians 2:8-9 ; John 14:6 , John 1:2 ; Titus 3:5 ; Galatians 3:26 ; Romans 5:1 , Romans 10:9-10 )

About Eternity

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.

( John 3:16 , John 14:17 ; Romans 6:23 , Romans 8:17-18 ; Revelation 20:15 ; 1Corinthians 2:7-9)

Our Vision:

To love God and love our neighbor (Matthew 22:37-40) by imitating Jesus Christ (Eph. 5:1-2) . . . To Bring In, Train Up, and Send Out

Our Mission:

To lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Our Core Values

A.  Hunger for intimacy with God.

Worship, prayer, study, and spiritual disciplines will be the hallmark of our connection with God, All that we do will flow out of and be guided by prayer.  We believe that through the power of God’s Spirit we are continually called to be aware of the “new thing” God seeks to do in, with, and through us.  We know that we cannot be the church nor be faithful to God’s vision for us without a total reliance on the Holy Spirit.

B. Zeal for relationship with others.

We believe that being faithful to God means growing spiritually and numerically.  We must pass the faith on to others and we will pursue methods and policies that encourage this without compromising in any way our integrity of our commitment to biblical truth.  We are committed to LifeGroups because this is where individual transformation, conversion, leadership development, mission and pastoral care takes place most effectively.

C. Live as people under authority.

We will govern ourselves under the authorities that God placed before us, (1) honoring those who are to be honored, (2) receiving direction, encouragement and correction (3) by allowing God to lead, move, and remove without fleshly intervention.

D. Living as people of blessing.

We will actively search for the blessings of God by (1) asking God to bless us (1 Chronicles 4:10), (2) appropriately applying Biblical stewardship, (3) contextualizing our message, effort, and leadership to the next generation (Psalm 71:18), (4) caring for the innocent, wounded, widows and orphans, (Psalm 15, James 1:27) and (5) declaring the purpose of God among and comfort to God’s chosen people (Isa. 40:1-2).

E. Dedicated for service.

We believe in the “priesthood of all believers” (1 Peter 2:9).  Every member of this fellowship is equipped by God’s Spirit and called to use their gifts in ongoing ministry.  Whenever possible, our ministries will be carried out by the people.

F. A People of Mission.

You’ve experienced the power inside the walls-engulfed in the comfort of Him, with the world and its troubles safely behind closed doors. Let the music overcome you-the passion overwhelm you… Does it burn within you to reach beyond those walls? To share with others that which you have received? To know that you are a part of a life that is forever changed? Reach out… Inspire something great… Impassion a heart… H2OMissions

Our Objective Areas

A. Experience

– All experiences at H2OChurch.tv are comprised of the two primary elements: powerful worship and a life-changing message. Worship at H2OChurch.tv is led by a worship pastor along with a talented worship team with a style that is consistent with today’s culture. All H2OChurch.tv campuses receive the same dynamic and relevant teaching messages each week via satellite broadcast from LifeChurch.tv Senior Pastor Craig Groeschel. A weekend experience lasts for one hour – you can always expect them to start and end on time. In addition, the local campus team will spend time engaging, connecting and doing ministry with the church body throughout the week

B. H2O Youth

– Our driving force is to inspire the heart of a student. To set free in a young mind the infinite possibilities of a life that is focused on God. A young life willfully submitted to God is a life that will change many others in its path. What greater purpose could there be than to be the spark that ignites the fire? Be the reason. Live the difference. Encourage the courage.

C. LifeGroups

– When the energy of a multitude sharing in worship…becomes the intimacy of a few gathered in a living room…  When the exhilaration of rejoicing voices all around you…quiets into the significance of a caring arm around you…To reach out more intensely-to share more deeply-to care more personally… To find the incredibly big-in the delightfully small…That’s LifeGroups.

D. H2O Kids

- Building a foundation that is everlasting. Changing the possibilities of the future-in a life that has just begun… Stimulating, exploring, interacting, creating… When senses are stirred and imaginations provoked, children grow from gifts from God…into warriors for God.

E. Prayer

- to connect with God and The Word as our primary source of direction and protection.

F. H2O Mission

-  to minister

1.  To the emerging culture - Specifically targeting the unsaved 20 something generation.

2. To the spiritually hurt and wounded.

3. To the innocent - the care and assistance of those who have been hurt or are in danger by circumstances outside their control

The church as we have known it has changed and is changing. Ed Decker, professor of Christian Counseling at Oral Roberts University stated that the Emerging Church Movement "is a shift on the order of the (16th-century Protestant) Reformation, requiring a new orientation to everything from worship and evangelism to seminary training." 1Tulsa World. "Christian views changing: Postmodern movement called a rethinking of the church." Sherman, Bill. 1/ 15/2005.

H2Ochurch.tv is part of this emerging church movement that is meeting the needs of the twenty-year-old emerging culture. We have adopted a new paradigm for the church:

Target the unsaved twenty-year-old as our target audience

.

In Oklahoma, nearly 80% of the seventy-year-olds attend church while 4% of the twenty-year-olds attend church. For the church to effectively reach the younger generation, we must specifically target the group of people who are deciding 'if' they want to be a Christ Follower as they enter adulthood.

Structure the church with elements of this emerging culture

.

The church must address the specific needs of this culture in order to reach them with the message of Christ, while creating the environment that feels comfortable to the unsaved young adult.

Remove the church politics from church administration

.

Frequently, churches struggle in rapidly making decisions in an environment where committees rule and money talks.

Understand the need for the 'move of God'

not operating amid the 'move of Man'.

Many a ministry as been built on personality or persuasion. H2Ochurch.tv has tried to diligently make decisions that are bathed in prayer and directed by God, and minimizing decisions made by human instinct.

Adopt the 'It's not about ME mentality'.

For many Christians, it is easy to want church that feels comfortable and meets individual needs. When moving to a younger and unsaved target audience, Christ Followers must adopt this 'It's not about Me mentality' to meet the needs of others.

Relationship, relationship, relationship

.

The church must concentrate on connecting people to each other for spiritual accountability and maturity, becoming fully devoted followers of Christ. Small Groups and discipleship are the hallmarks of H2Ochurch.tv
